Costa Blanca

Costa Blanca, “the white coast”, reaches from Torrevieja in the south to Denia in the North and it is a ver popular tourist destination for many Europeans. It is not only a popular place to visit for holidays, many Europeans have decided to take the step and move to  this beautiful area. It is actually quite easy to understand. Costa Blanca is the region with most hours of sun in Spain, the winters are soft which make outdoor activities easy. The nature is absolutely beautiful, you can go hiking or why not take a swim in the crystal clear water. Costa Blanca offers you a lot of beautiful cities and villages.

Which city should I choose?

Torrevieja

Torrevieja is a very popular destination for many Swedish People. Here you can find a lot of Swedish restaurants, schools and local businesses. It is a quite crowdy town but still a very popular destinations. If you decide to buy a house here, you can really get good bargains. The prices have never been so cheap. It is actually one of Spains largest expanding towns.

Torrevieja is surrounded by two large Salt Lakes which are an official Spanish nature reserve.

Alicante

Alicante is a beautiful city located only 20 minutes from the airport. It has a fantastic boulevard with palm trees next to the Sea. Alicante and its nearby located towns like El Campello and San Juan are also very popular destination for many foreigners. You can easily understand why. The main reason is its proximity to the airport but it is also a very dynamic city with km of sandy white beaches. They city also offers a lot of historical buildings.

Benidorm

Benidorm was a very popular destination for many Swedes during the 70th. Nowadays it is a popular destination for Spaniards and British people. It is located approximately 20 minutes north of Alicante  in the comarca of Marina Baixa. The city its known for its large sky scrapers and sandy long beaches. The city offers a range of accommodation and the night life is excellent.

Alfaz del Pi

Alfaz del Pi is a very popular destination for Norwegians, it actually has more foreign residents than Spanish Residents and there are over 90 different nationalities living in this fantastic City. You can find two Norwegian schools in the city but also British Private Schools nearby.

The summers are hot and the winters like the rest of Costa Blanca are mild. The beautiful beach village knows as El Albir belongs to Alfaz del Pi, even though it seems to be a total different city. THe city offers a lot activities, especially if you like walking or hiking. Why not walk take a walk to the Light House, overlooking the Ocean for more than an hour? Or why not go hiking from Albir all the way to Benidorm, also overlooking the Sea? Or you can simply take a walk along the beach all the way to Altea.

Altea

The old town of Altea is probably the most beautiful village in Costa Blanca. The town offers narrow streets and white houses up on a hill where you can overlook the ocean. The city also offers plenty of nice local restaurants. The beach walk is fantastic, which also offers you restaurants for all tastes.
